SabiCalculator (sabicalculator.com) is a website that offers free calculators for students. It is run by FortPlus Solutions, based in Lagos, Nigeria. For any question about this policy or your data, email hello@sabicalculator.com.

When you use a calculator, the arithmetic is done by code running in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our servers.

Some calculators save your entries in your browser’s local storage so they are still there when you return. This is a small store that stays on your device and is not shared with us or anyone else. A line on the calculator tells you when it is saving. To delete it, press Clear everything on the calculator, or clear your browser’s site data for this website.

Technical data when you visit

Like almost every website, our servers and the services we use receive some technical information when you load a page: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page you came from, and an approximate location such as your country or city. Our hosting provider keeps server logs for security and to keep the site running.

Messages you send us

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and your message. We use it to reply and to fix any problem you report.

Your cookie choices

Where a cookie consent tool is shown, it records whether you accepted or rejected each type of cookie, so it does not ask you again on every page.

What we do not collect

• The numbers, grades, salaries or other details you enter into a calculator.
• Payment details. Everything on the site is free.
• Account data. There are no accounts.

• To run, secure and fix the website.
• To understand which pages and calculators are useful, so we can improve them.
• To reply to your messages.
• To show advertising that pays for the site.
• To meet legal obligations.

We use Google Analytics, through the Google Site Kit plugin. It records how visitors use the site, such as which pages they view and roughly where they are. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. In the UK, the EU and some other regions, analytics cookies are used only if you agree, and Google’s consent mode adjusts what is collected when you do not.

You can stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits by rejecting analytics cookies, or by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, personalised ads are shown only if you agree. If you do not, you may still see ads, but they are not personalised to you.

We do not sell your personal information.

We rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies. We rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website and answering messages. We may also process data to meet a legal obligation.

Google and our hosting provider may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. They use safeguards under the data protection rules that apply to them.

• Messages: for as long as we need to answer you and keep a record of the issue, then we delete them.
• Analytics data: for the period set in our Google Analytics account.
• Server logs: for the period our hosting provider keeps them.
• Calculator entries saved in your browser: until you clear them.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 applies, and you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Residents of some US states have similar rights under state privacy laws. The same address handles those requests.

SabiCalculator is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted.

Our pages link to official sources and other websites. We do not control their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
