Cookie Policy
Last Updated: January 23, 2026
Look, we’re going to be straight with you about cookies. This page explains what they are, why we use them, and how you can control them. No legal jargon maze—just the actual information you need.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them. Think of them like sticky notes that help the website remember things about your visit.
They can’t harm your computer, steal your personal information, or access anything on your device beyond what you explicitly provide to the website. They’re just data—usually things like “this person prefers dark mode” or “they visited this page yesterday.”
Why We Use Cookies
SabiCalculator uses cookies for a few specific reasons:
- To keep the site working: Some cookies are essential for basic functionality
- To understand our users: Analytics cookies help us see which calculators are popular and where we should focus development
- To show relevant ads: Advertising cookies help display ads that might actually be useful to you (and help us keep the site free)
- To remember your preferences: Things like your preferred language or calculator settings
Types of Cookies We Use
1. Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. Without them, some features simply won’t work.

Cookie Consent |
Remembers your cookie preferences so we don’t ask again every visit | 1 year |
2. Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use SabiCalculator. This helps us know which calculators are most useful, where people get stuck, and what we should build next.

What we track: Page views, which calculators you use, how long you stay, general location (city/country level), device type, and browser. What we don’t track: The actual numbers you enter into calculators, your personal data, or anything that identifies you specifically.
3. Advertising Cookies
We use Google AdSense to display ads. These cookies help show you ads that are more relevant and help us earn revenue to keep the site running and free.

Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use:
- Google Analytics: Tracks anonymous usage statistics
- Google AdSense: Manages ad delivery and personalization
- Google Fonts: May set cookies when loading fonts (though we try to host locally when possible)
These third parties have their own privacy policies. We don’t control their cookies, but we only work with services that comply with privacy regulations.
How to Control Cookies
Browser Settings
All modern browsers let you control cookies. You can:
- Block all cookies (though this might break some site features)
- Block only third-party cookies
- Delete cookies after each browsing session
- Set exceptions for specific websites
Here’s how to manage cookies in popular browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Opt Out of Analytics
You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Opt Out of Personalized Ads
To control ad personalization:
- Visit Google Ads Settings
- Visit Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page
- Visit Your Online Choices (for EU users)
Important: If you block or delete all cookies, some features on SabiCalculator might not work properly. Essential cookies are necessary for basic functionality. You can still use most calculators, but things like saving preferences won’t work.
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers have a “Do Not Track” feature. Currently, there’s no industry standard for how websites should respond to these signals, so we don’t automatically respond to them. However, you can use the opt-out methods above to achieve similar results.
Mobile Devices
On mobile devices, you can control cookies through your browser settings (similar to desktop). You can also:
- iOS: Settings → Safari → Block All Cookies
- Android: Chrome → Settings → Site settings → Cookies
Most mobile browsers also allow you to clear cookies in the privacy settings.
Cookie Duration
We use both session cookies and persistent cookies:
- Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: Stay on your device for a set period (shown in the tables above) or until you manually delete them
Your Calculator Data
Here’s something important: cookies do not store your calculation data. When you use a GPA calculator, percentage calculator, or any other tool, those numbers are processed in your browser and are not saved in cookies or sent to our servers. Your calculations are private.
Cookies only store things like “this user visited this page” or “this user prefers metric units”—never the actual sensitive numbers you’re calculating.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we use cookies, we’ll update this page and the “Last Updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we might also show a notification on the site.
We recommend checking this page occasionally if you’re concerned about cookie usage.
GDPR, CCPA, and Your Rights
If you’re in the EU, California, or other regions with privacy laws, you have rights regarding cookies and data collection:
- Right to know what data we collect
- Right to access your data
- Right to delete your data
- Right to opt out of data collection
- Right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
Since we use minimal cookies and don’t store personal data from your calculations, there’s usually not much to access or delete. But if you have specific requests, contact us at the email below.
